Who’s listening?

Scott GrallSeptember 18, 2009

I’ve learned a lot about listening to what people are saying, even if they aren’t actually speaking. With the birth of my son, Zach, a couple weeks ago, I’ve found that sometimes just listening to him – whether he’s crying, not crying or making those baby sounds – tells me a lot about what is happening with him. I have also learned the same about how grown-ups listen to each other. Sometime we hear what we want to hear, sometimes we don’t listen at all. But I say to you that the best thing we can all do, whether we think we’re right or not, is listen first. You might be surprised what you learn.

Great advice Scott! I have learned the hard way that you need to listen to others before casting judgement. Keep up the good work!
